  ABOUT ISU APICS

APICS, The Association for Operations Management, is a worldwide professional organization of practitioners with the mission statement: “APICS is the global leader and premier provider of information and services in production and inventory management and related areas to enable members, enterprises, and individuals to add value to their business performance.”

The Indiana State University student APICS chapter is sponsored by the Central Indiana APICS Chapter in Indianapolis. Membership is open to any interested student. Students have the opportunity to work with Central Indiana APICS members in both professional and social situations.

APICS student membership now is FREE, and enables full-time undergraduate and graduate students to network in a community of more than 3,200 other APICS student members.   APICS IN THE NEWS

Ø  APICS ISU Chapter recently attended the Celadon 3rd Annual 24 Hour Case Competition. Once at the facility on Friday, students had the opportunity to network with company executives. After departing the facility the students worked continuously on the case through Friday night, into early Saturday morning. Early Saturday morning, the two teams representing ISU presented their findings in a ten-minute presentation.
Ø The APICS ISU Chapter recently renewed its clabberation effort with local neighbor, Clabber Girl. Recently, in partnership with Clabber Girl, APICS ISU Chapter Students had the opportunity to tour both the distribution center and the manufacturing facility in Terre Haute, IN. APICS students are involved in multiple projects with Clabber Girl to implement their skills in basic supply chain analyses as well as complex six sigma methodologies.
